"Our male dachshund ran to the yard fence barking at a cat we thought. But this cat hiked his black and white tail and Red took a direct hit of horrible, breath taking smelly stinch. We tried tomato juice, shampoo (dog and human) then we tried Dawn. It cut the oil and the smell. Skunk spray is a oily substance that has staying power, but Dawn cut through it and we could once again pet our pet.
